The construction of works in areas with soft soil has led to the need of solving many problems to implement measures thoroughly dealing with soft ground reinforcement. For each different type of soft soil, there will be different suitable reinforcement measures. The paper represented how to improve the soft soils in the coastal area of Can Gio district, Hochiminh city such as the mixing fly-ash and cement mixture with soft soil in the different cement contents. The paper represented that based on the unconfined compressive strength test to find the best mixing ratio for soil cement specimens with fly-ash admixtures in both ensuring high mechanical values and economic effect. Furthermore, this soft soil is saline and acid, so the fly-ash and cement significantly made the salinity and acidity in the soils reduce.
