Classification of the Kanji character in Japanese using the ANFIS technique

Remembering the Kanji character in Japanese is a difficult task for foreign students. To recognize their characteristic, it is necessary to classify the kind of image containing Kanji characters. This research proposes a method to classify such tasks by using the ANFIS technique. We employ a model to learn the feature of the Kanji character image. The numerical result shows a good predictive ability. It also demonstrates a potential application in the educational environment of learning Japanese.
